17 years ago – how can it be that long?

Yep. Here he is. Little Stuart. Born on this day 17 years ago.

That little puppy belly. With his stinky cow toe and little purple stuffie.

With that white blaze on his back and chest. And that same little purple stuffie.

That little sweetheart loved by folks far and wide. Even with little leaves stuck to his nose.

What fun we’ve all had through the years. Celebrating his uniqueness, his personality, and his ability to make people stop and stare. Because…well…that’s what Scotties do after all. Make people stop and stare.

Winston wishes he’d met you.

The Dad Peep and I are so thankful for the friends we’ve made through the years. Each one of you is so special to us.

Thank you Stuart. For bringing us all together.

And for that little purple stuffie that we still have. Winston sleeps with it every night.

God speed little man.

Cancer sucks. Hemangiosarcoma sucks even more.

Stay tuned for a special bandana sale to help Stuart’s Fund.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Stuart. Love seeing all your photos and certainly enjoyed following you for all those years. While you had big paws to fill, Winston must have gone back to read all your posts so he could learn the ropes and carry on.

Yes, cancer sucks. March 18 (just a few days away) will mark two years since we lost our beloved Scottie, Finnegan, to hemangiosarcoma. It was very sudden, and one of the worst days of our lives. We still can’t talk about it, and will never get over that horrible day. Hopefully you and Finnegan have met and shared wonderful stories from all of your adventures and being loved beyond words!
