Watercolor Wednesday – Here We Go Again.

thirdtrycroppedMe and my Thundershirt. It’s that time of year again: fireworks at the baseball diamond that’s just a hop, skip and jump away from my house.

Oh dear.

What You Learned Today:

  • I. Hate. Fireworks.
  • But as I’ve grown older and wiser, I must say I’m getting a bit better about them.
  • Maybe I won’t need my Thundershirt so much this season. Ya think?
  • It’s Wednesday. Time for some StuART!!!!!!!

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a dog blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. He would have been 11 years old in March 2017. The Scottie Chronicles is dedicated to Stuart and the joy he shared with everyone who met him or saw him from afar. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

Stuart I love the ridges in your little pink tongue in this pic 🙂 and you poor thing..the boys here dislike the same fireworks..we turn up the telly or radio and pretend it’s not happening…plus I lie down on their beds with them and tell them to calm their farm 😉 hugs Fozziemum xx

  2. PigLove says:

I love the artwork my friend. The colors are so vibrant. Beautiful! XOXO – Bacon
P.S. Us anipals don’t like the fireworks either. They make me squeal and run around the Hotel Thompson while the purr things take cover under the beds.

  3. Kyla says:

Stu, if they only set off the fireworks after a win, maybe I can send the Diamondbacks as a replacement for the Flying Squirrels and you’ll have a silent summer.

  4. It’s a good thing you HAVE a thundershirt – you know – just in case you need it……I know they do work…..love the artwork!

    Hugs, Sam

  5. I. hate.fireworks.too. I hope your thundershirt will help Stuart. Why humans always use such noisy thingies?… awww wait I know it: because they can’t bark :o)

  6. Duffy, Elsa & Andrew says:

We dislike those noisy thingies as well. Don’t know why they have to make noise, why can’t just the pretty colors be enuff? We also don’t care for the noise coming from the clouds this time of year, either. Puttin some cotton in our ears. Hugs!

  7. Daisy says:

I think you should take Kyla up on her offer. I sure hope your thunder shirt helps you survive baseball season. It probably seems like it never ends!
The Scottie on the egg was me! It’s an app called Photo Funia. The cowspotdogs blog told us about it!

  9. Braeden and Seth says:

I (Braeden) don’t like any kind of loud noises, especially thunder. And we have a lot of it in the spring. But since Seth arrived it doesn’t seem to bother me as much anymore. And speaking of Seth, he composed and sang his first arooooo-arooooo last night!

Stunning artwork, Stuart. My peep said she can get lost looking into your eyes!

I am sorry that the fireworks and thunder are such a problem for you and other dogs. I am lucky to not be bothered by that…but I do have allergies that cause me the nasty itchies! Everyone has something. Let us be grateful that we have loving peeps that try to shield us from scary things, make sure we feel safe, put us in thundershirts and heap extra love on us when we get stressed out. And you have Sniglet who shares her crate with you. Now that’s a friend! You’re a lucky boy, Stu!

  11. You are wonderful in watercolor as usual! Hope you won’t need your thundershirt as much either but they sure are nice 🙂

  12. corkscot says:

Sid has worn his Thunder shirt already. Last week, we had a night of thunder and lightning. The poor boy spent most of the night hiding in the closet. Tell your mom to try Rescue Remedy too. It helps in combination with the shirt.
