About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

  1. oh boy hahahaha… I think we should get such a carpet sweeper too… that’s better than a howling vaccula, right?

  2. Gail and Kipper says:

What is it with carpet sweepers and vacuums with Scotties! I have teeth marks all over my vacuum from Kipper attacks! So cute of Stuart! He got that sweeper off the rug!

  3. theguster says:

Hey, we fully understand what Stuart’s dilemma was! A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do! He wasn’t going to let that carpet sweeper suck up HIS cow hoove! No, sir! No way!

    The little helper !!

  5. Wylie, Ruby & Pat says:

    We loved this one!!

  6. Cherry & Humphrey says:

Yes, we know about chasing the vacumn — such fun and excitement until our Mom makes us go outside until she finishes – darn!!! – Nice to see the video clip = Humphrey & Cherry

  7. Toby and Banks' peep says:

Stuart is saying “Get this evil thing away from my cow toe!”

  8. nordhuesn says:

Back AWAY from the cow toe, far away…….!

  9. Donna says:

Skye does the same thing!! I think she doesn’t want to loose any tasty tidbits that might be on the carpet to the carpet cleaner. That is definitely her job!!

  10. lauramarec says:

Good goin’, Stu! You show dat nasty Hoover who’s BOSS! Dat’s just what we do, too! Gotta keep dat monster in line!
    Proud of you!

  11. corkscot says:

Shelby had a ball with the video. Sidney and Sophie ignored it. None of them are happy when the vacuum comes out. They head for the hills.

  12. I throw up when Mama vacuums. But not when Auntie Becky does. What’s the deal? Aunt Becky comes once a month.

  13. noofmitchell says:

Bailey would love to get a hold of that carpet sweeper. I have not seen one of these for a very long time.

  14. Kaci says:

Kali and I have left our teeth marks on my Peep’s hand vac, but since we have very little carpet here in AZ, we are not allowed to go into any area that has been Sweeper Wet Jetted. We would love to eat some of that spray, but Mom Peep says it is bad for us and we can even go into the area until everything is dry. BTW, Mom peep was not happy that Dad peep had to work in the Press Box at the Dback game today for almost 5:30 hours…………. for only 13 inning game.

Mom peep had lots of ball games and golf to watch and a new Stone Barrington book to read.

Dad peep is working the next three Dback games and Mom peep hopes that are 2 hours games…………so do we, but fat chance.

Kismet does not like the vacuum either – flaps her wings and squawks……………..

  15. Kismet says:

Kali does the same thing. It’s instinct. That’s how Scotties in the olden days dealt with clearning.

  16. gentlestitches says:

  17. Two French Bulldogs says:

  19. Marty the Manx says:

Way to go with keeping that sweeper under control Angel Stuart!

Go ahead...Bark Out Loud! ArroOOOO!
