I Don’t Care if You ARE Cold!

I know it's cold, but you little mice-y's get outta there! NOW!

You know, little varmints never stop scurrying around.  Chipmunks, squirrels, mice, moles, voles – you name it, they’re out there.  In the cold and in the heat of summer.

And I can’t stand them.

They hang out in between things like these planters. On Our back patio.

They think I don’t know they’re there.

They, obviously, don’t know a Scottie when they see one.

What You Learned Today:

  • We Scotties are true to our breed.  No matter what time of year it is.
  • We root out little furry things and keep them at bay.
  • I don’t care how cold it is or how cute YOU think they are.  They’re nothing but varmints and it’s my job to GET RID OF THEM. Don’t forget that.
  • That’s why I’m here.  To protect Them from all things rodent.

About The Scottie Chronicles

Winston welcomes you to The Scottie Chronicles - a blog that began in 2009 as a voice for Stuart, a more than memorable black, brindle and white Scottish Terrier who captured hearts around the world. Stuart passed suddenly in December 2015 from cardiac hemangiosarcoma, a nasty cancer that took him far too early. If you love Scotties, please follow along. Arroooo!

    • I just can’t imagine having a gopher as a neighbor. I’d be – what’s the word? – apoplectic? You know what I mean! This morning some of the snow was gone and I SMELLED THE CHIPMUNKS IN THE FRONT YARD!!! Lemme at ’em. Roo Roo, Stuart

  2. RIGHT ON, STUART!

I’ve been relentlessly pursuing those little buggers, too. When I come in, my Mama says I ought to be on a “Got Milk?” billboard.

Hey, I’m just doing my job.

    • Edgar, I feel your pain. I was at the downspout just this morning smelling one of those blasted things. Keep up the good work! And don’t let them get you down. They can chitter all they want, right? Roo Roo, Thanks for visiting, Stuart

  4. Hey Stu,

Can you believe since we got all of this snow, our Mom can’t make it out to the composter, so she’s been tossing out scraps across our fence – and we’ve not only seen crows and turkeys down there, but also a raccoon. Yesterday she spilled some dog-food in a place that we couldn’t get to so she vacuumed it up and threw it out in the yard. What’s this – feeding our food to those critters!! We are distraught!!
