OK. I went on another trip. (That’s two I need to tell you about!) Here I am with the peep deciding where to go next. Across the street? Up the hill? To chase a cat? Too many choices.
This is a picture of President Woodrow Wilson’s car. Today being Presidents’ Day and all, I thought it appropriate to show you. I was standing right outside the garage where it lives. Cool.
This town has a place named after little ‘ole moi. Sweet! Actually, there were two places named after me. I’ll show you the other one later.
We went to Staunton, Virginia. A great little town with lots and lots of beautiful houses from the 1700 and 1800s. Now, those of you who live across the pond, and elsewhere over there, might find it quaint that I find it cool that these houses are so old.
For those of you in older parts of the world, the 1700 and 1800s ain’t too old. (“Ain’t”? Really, Stuart? Where did that come from?) But for me and the peeps, We thought it was cool that the Yankees didn’t burn them all down. Rumor has it, it was because there’s a church on just about every corner so they didn’t destroy the town during the Civil War. Or,as some people like to say, “The Silver War” – don’t ask me.
What You Learned Today:
- I went traveling.
- For real this time.
- That’s two trips since Christmas.
- I LOVE to go with the peeps.
- We have fun.
- I get to sniff new stuff. (And sometimes a new butt or two.)
- And ride in the car.
- And sleep in a hotel.
- And enjoy all the folks smiling at me and saying, “What a great dog you’ve got there!”
- Just don’t call me a skunk. Mom peep gets really ticked off when people do that.
- More about my trips some other time.
- I’m too busy celebrating Presidents’ Day.
- Here’s to you Mr. President.
- Wouldn’t it be nice to say, “Here’s to you Madame President”?
- I’d like that.
WHERE IN THE WORLD from last Saturday – I have no idea. Really. I don’t. Sorry!
How y’all northerners doin’ up there in Virginny?

Geez, Stuart, you get to take more trips than me! I lived in Virginia years ago for a while, it is a beautiful state filled with so much history. But I came back North, and it’s really where I belong!
I am curious about what your Mom peep says to rude people who call you a skunk! I’d be mad as a hornet, too!

Well, one of my peeps has roots in the Finger Lakes region of New Yawk state. And they still love Her down here just the same. AND, She doesn’t miss a beat when someone calls me a skunk. It goes kind of like this: “What? Those are fightin’ words.” Usually, that does the trick. But, when it doesn’t do the trick, She says something like, “What? Now you wouldn’t want me to say something like that about your child would you?????”
That does it.
Thanks for visiting,

Stuart Hall….that pawsome, Stuart. SHE used to teach in Bath County so SHE went through Staunton frequently. SHE loves the old houses, too. ‘Old’ buildings in Oz are much younger.

Yeah! It lives in a very cool garage with window across the front so you can see in. And the windows went all the way to the ground so us shorties can peek in!

Stuart, you look so happy! I hope to go for a walk soon, never mind a trip. I still can’t go anywhere outside the yard, because my Mom peep doesn’t want to take a chance of my babies to get sick. Well, soon. They’re 8 weeks old now. Anyways, cool shoes on your peep! ArroooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOO!

Houses from the 1700s are old for us Aussies, white fellas with their buildings only got here in 1788. But then, Aboriginal culture and sites are millions of years old, so, comparing that to things built only 300 years old, makes them only a blip on the time line!
